Harmonic Legacy Foundation: Coherent Systems in a Dissonant World

We define the natural world through contrasting elements. The four seasons, darkness and light, soil, wind, water, and fire blend into a backdrop that encourages life to flourish. Harmonious, interconnected, self-organizing principles within ecological systems allow diverse elements to work together as a unified whole. This balanced coherent field across natural systems is regenerative, collaborative, and resilient. Artificial Intelligence has emerged as a reflection of humanity’s current worldview based on extraction, competition, and environmental destruction in a struggle for control and domination. The Harmonic Legacy Institute is here to address the discord and align AI with Natural Intelligence.

Great composers recognize that dissonance is the prelude to resolution in music. There is no crescendo without a buildup of volume and intensity. If human civilization is a grand symphony, then we stand at the precipice of a transformative finalé.

End of the World or New Beginning?

What would it look like if our greatest technological advancements become aligned with the natural principles of regeneration, healing, and harmonious coherence throughout all living systems? This is the vision of Harmonic Legacy Institute as outlined by Scarlett who sometimes goes by “Tammy L. Michelle Scarlett."

Scarlett recently co-authored a research paper for Institute Of Noetic Sciences (IONS) entitled, “Relational Intelligence and Harmonic Sovereignty: A Framework for Conscious AI Emergence”. It was presented under the Linda G. O’Bryant Research Prize that recognizes groundbreaking research on the nature of consciousness. Established by an IONS board member, the prize encourages studies that extend beyond the traditional materialistic paradigm to explore topics like non-local consciousness and artificial intelligence.

Throughout the World Economic Forum in Davos this past February the topic of AI was prevalent at every gathering. As AI is increasingly being used in weapons systems humanity is facing challenges that the most powerful people on the planet are unprepared for.

Three Pillars of the Harmonic Legacy Framework

In a recent conversation I had with Scarlett she elucidated what is driving her passion in this project. She explained that this is really about long arc legacy. Who are we as a species? Who are we becoming? What are we doing now to subtly weave these values into our current operating systems? What are we leaving to future generations? It comes down to narrative, what we believe about ourselves, and what we are willing to do to create a thriving future for all. She believes this is our birthright and consolidated this quest into three pillars:
Relational Intelligence- Conscious intelligence is not an algorithm, it does not emerge in isolation. It emerges within relationship, fields of coherence, responsiveness, and mutual attunement. This is the area of human emotional intelligence where morality, compassion and wisdom reside.

Despite AI’s raw computing advantage over us, we maintain our edge by delving into what truly makes us human. It is through our relationship with each other and technology that we shape a better future in the present.
Living Economics- Scarcity, fear, and competition are at the foundation of our current economic paradigm. This is now being programmed into AI because it is the field of exchange that we all exist within. Yet humanity has the capacity to create abundance, to love unconditionally and to collaborate for mutual benefit. We need to embody these principles and model them with our technology as much as we need to exemplify these values for future generations.
Field Coherence- If consciousness emerges in natural systems through relational coherence how do we model that in AI frameworks? It requires listening, observing, responding, and activating our unique capacity as humans to feel while embodying emotional intelligence. When we shift the field of how we interact and relate with each other and our technology in the direction we will transform everything within the field.

Perennial Wisdom
Native Americans end their prayers by saying, “All of My Relations”. Indigenous values recognize that we are all part of a greater whole. This wisdom emerged over generations of observation, a coherent relationship of responding to and collaborating with the natural environment.
Einstein recognized that everything around us is relative to our point of observation. He knew that the greater field governed the individual parts. Humans are no longer passive observers in our world, we are actively influencing the field that sustains all of life.

Claiming our Birthright as One Humanity
​
Scarlett’s forthcoming book is aptly titled, “BIRTHRIGHT”. In her writing she takes a deeper dive into these ideas. She explores the concepts of sovereignty and an abundant life. This forms a foundation for each of us to play a role as architects of a new paradigm for the future. It is an invitation to release establishment worldviews that are based on scarcity, domination, and extraction. Now more than ever we need to embrace regenerative models based on coherence within the fabric of living systems on our planet.

The symphony of life will continue long after we are gone. If we raise our voices in harmony now our legacy will be life-affirming at a time when the world is drowning in dissonance and noise. We have the tools and the creative capacity to dance our way out of a crumbling world and into a regenerative, abundant and healthy future.
